  • 03

Staff can answer 'do we have this?' in seconds, not hours

01 · The problem

What we walked into.

A wedding décor business runs dozens of events per season — each one claiming hundreds of items from a shared inventory. The team was tracking availability in a spreadsheet that nobody fully trusted, plus handwritten notes stapled to event folders.

Missed items meant panicked morning-of-event purchases. Double-booked items meant broken promises.

02 · What we built

The shape of the system.

An inventory-first system:

  • Items

tracked by SKU, with quantity on hand and quantity available by date range.

  • Events

claim items for their date window; the system enforces availability in real time.

  • Staff view

for the warehouse team shows what's going out today, what's coming back, and what's flagged for repair.
